The CHOICE Lab at Michigan Medicine is seeking an outgoing, energetic, empathic, and driven research associate to join a large randomized clinical trail of an incentive-based menthol cigarette smoking cessation intervention. The goal of the study is to test ways to help people who smoke menthol cigarettes to help aid in cessation. The program is expected to deliver real-world data on comparing incentive-based interventions with, and in addition to, state-run Quitlines among people who smoke menthol cigarettes. 

The successful candidate must be well read, organized, and able to multitask; be an independent thinker and team player, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. This role will include a lot of collaboration across team members, a willingness to jump in on a variety of projects, and help out where needed.

• Engaging stakeholders (e.g., advisory boards, community representatives, healthcare decision-makers) to enhance awareness and dissemination of findings to support impact of the project's outcomes.

• Knowledge of the research process be empathic and personable with excellent organizational skills, and an ability to communicate effectively. 
• Team player and have a strong ability to collaborate across teams, prioritize competing tasks to meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently for extended periods of time while also being a team player and maintaining effective communication with the study coordinator and principal investigators. 
• The position requires flexibility and availability to work a varying schedule and a willingness to help out where needed. 
• Must be comfortable interacting with diverse populations and collaborating across teams and with community representatives.

Work schedule is generally Monday through Friday 9 AM - 5 PM, with flexibility to work evening and weekends if needed. Exact times/schedule will vary depending on study phase and project needs, along with the employee's preferences.

This is a hybrid position located in Ann Arbor, MI. Work will occur both remotely and in person and will require some travel within Michigan to meet with various stakeholders and present on our work.
