When business needs fluctuate throughout the year, Michigan Dining will offer work assignments based on availability and selected through the seniority-driven bidding process.  Work assignments may be required in other departments to ensure year-round work schedules for all staff members that want that, seasonal leave requests may be approved on a year by year basis at the unit discretion.
 

As a Kitchen Cleaner for Michigan Dining you will maintain a clean kitchen by removing trash, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning equipment, filtering fryers, cleaning hood vents and drains, and washing dishes, pots, pans. Assist and work with other kitchen cleaners and staff performing general cleaning of kitchen areas and maintain a clean work environment following HACCP standards and health codes.

Sunday: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM 

Monday and Tuesday: OFF

Wednesday and Thursday: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM 

Friday and Saturday: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

Department: M|Dining - South Quad

Hourly Pay Rate : $19.83 - $20.49

Please note, the current starting rate for this position is $19.83, due to the newly ratified collective bargaining unit, this rate will be increasing to $20.42, no later then November 15, 2025.
