Applications are invited for a Lecturer (full-time teaching faculty) in the Biomedical Engineering (BME) Department at the University of Michigan. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated teaching team focused on experiential learning, engineering design, and professional development of biomedical engineers.
The BME Department at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor (bme.umich.edu) is a joint department between the College of Engineering and the Medical School. It harnesses intellectual and physical resources from across campus to create a world-class learning environment. Applications from individuals in all areas of biomedical engineering and related disciplines will be considered.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Biomechanics-We are seeking candidates with experience in this field who are interested in building course content, modernizing lab modules, or creating new courses that help to solidify this core concentration in biomedical engineering. Opportunities are available to contribute at introductory or advanced levels, depending on interests.
- Bioinstrumentation-We are seeking candidates with experience in this field who are interested in advancing our upper-level courses on bioinstrumentation and supporting our current courses in this space.
- Biocomputation-We are seeking candidates with experience in this field to help us advance and deliver key courses in AI and machine learning in biomedical engineering.
