This part-time research audiologist position is dedicated to an industry-sponsored clinical trial focused on hearing aid technology and performance. The successful candidate will join the Neurovestibular Laboratory at Michigan Medicine, University of Michigan, using clinical audiology expertise to assist with all aspects of the trial, including participant recruitment, data collection, data analysis, and dissemination of findings through manuscripts and presentations.

• Perform and interpret comprehensive audiologic evaluations, including pure-tone and speech audiometry, tympanometry, real-ear measurements, and hearing aid validation and verification procedures.
• Conduct assessments of self-reported hearing performance using standardized outcome measures and questionnaires.
• Ensure complete and accurate research documentation, adhering to regulatory and sponsor-specific research requirements.
• Recruit, consent, and enroll study participants, managing all aspects of participant interaction in alignment with ethical standards.
• Assist with data analysis, including statistical evaluation, preparation of tables, figures, and manuscript development.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with the research team, participants, and collaborating clinicians.
• Maintain diagnostic and research equipment, implement infection control protocols, and manage supplies.
• Keep the principal investigator informed of research activities, milestones, challenges, and achievements.

• Doctoral degree (AuD or PhD) in Audiology or a closely related field from an accredited university.
• Extensive clinical and/or research experience with hearing aids, hearing aid validation techniques, and audiometry.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research environment.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a State of Michigan Audiology license.

• Prior experience in hearing aid?focused research or clinical trials.
• Familiarity with research grant processes and regulations.
• Experience contributing to academic publications and scientific presentations.
