Job Summary

 

The University of Michigan College of Pharmacy (COP) is seeking a temporary Student Services team member with a professional, helpful, and positive attitude to perform a combination of front desk reception and administrative duties.

This is a temporary position requiring flexible in-person availability. Specific hours needed are Wednesdays from 12:00?3:00 PM and Fridays from 8:00 AM?12:00 PM, for approximately 7 hours per week.?

What You'll Do

 
  • Serve as the initial greeter, welcoming all students, faculty, staff, and visitors entering the Student Services suite at the College of Pharmacy. Answer walk-in inquiries and telephone calls.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk/lobby area; perform routine office tasks such as copying, filing, organizing office supplies, and locking/unlocking doors.
  • Provide support to administrative team members, including project support via Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other tasks.
  • Occasionally assist with COP events and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications*

 
  • High school diploma.
  • Possession of a customer service-oriented attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
  • The ability to work effectively with diverse work styles and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Capability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Flexible work schedule.

Modes of Work
