The School of Kinesiology is currently the fourth largest school at the University of Michigan - the top public research institution in the country. Currently, we have three undergraduate majors, five graduate degree programs, and 30 research labs and centers. We are proud to occupy the fully renovated School of Kinesiology Building, a 221,600 gross square foot space adjacent to the Diag. The School of Kinesiology at the University of Michigan is one of 19 independent academic units and one of seven health science schools and colleges within the University of Michigan. In Fall 2023, the National Academy of Kinesiology ranked the School of Kinesiology at the University of Michigan as the #1 Doctoral program in the US. We are housed in a recently renovated 250,000 square foot building located on the Ann Arbor central campus. Our faculty are world-renowned in their fields and our students have opportunities to participate in research centers and labs during their educational experience.
Under the leadership of the Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (VPIT-CIO), Information and Technology Services provides technology and communications services in support of UM-Ann Arbor's academic and research needs. ITS also manages the administrative computing systems and executes the IT security strategy for the Ann Arbor campus, Michigan Medicine, and the two regional campuses (Flint and Dearborn).
