  • Greet and assist students, answer questions, address service needs, and connect individuals with appropriate campus resources and UMSI staff.
  • Manage reservations and usage of the student lounge and event space, including confirming bookings, preparing the space, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth transitions between scheduled events and open lounge hours.
  • Monitor and uphold community standards within lounge and event spaces, promoting an inclusive, safe, and supportive environment.
  • Oversee facilities management for UMSI central campus spaces, including submitting work orders, ensuring cleanliness and organization, ordering and tracking supplies, and coordinating with campus facilities teams.
  • Provide support for UMSI staff during programs and events, including event setup and breakdown, and basic technical support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of space reservations and student interactions.

Required Qualifications*

  • 1+ years of experience working in higher education, student affairs, or related fields.
  • 1+ years of experience in a customer service, front desk, or student-facing role.
  • Commitment to student care and support.
  • Enthusiasm and energy for working on behalf of students and their academic/career interests.
  • Have an inclusive attitude and value the diverse perspectives and traits of others.
  • High degree of initiative and ability/interest in working independently.
