Job Summary

 

The Director of Basketball Analytics supports both the Men's and Woman's Basketball programs by leveraging data to enhance team performance, game strategy, and recruiting efforts. This role plays a critical part in integrating advanced analytics into day-to-day basketball operations, bridging coaching insights with quantitative analysis to drive competitive advantage. The Director serves as a strategic partner to the coaching staffs, contributing to decision-making across scouting, player development, roster management, and recruitment.

Responsibilities*

 
  • Using data and video analysis, provide scouting materials on upcoming opponents in a timely manner
  • Develop and track internal metrics for practices and games to assist with player development and team analysis
  • Identify targets using analytical insights and assist in the recruitment for high school and transfer portal players
  • Provide data-based insights to inform in-game strategy
  • Create and maintain internal tools for use by the coaching staff to aid in decision making
  • Assist the program's General Manager with respect to NIL salary management and player valuations

Required Qualifications*

 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in basketball analytics, operations, or related field
  • Strong background in statistical analysis, scouting, and basketball strategy.
  • Proficiency with analytics tools, video editing software, and data platforms
