The Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (OGPS) within the Medical School is looking to hire a Mental Health Clinician as a member of the Counseling and Well-Being team. This position promotes student learning and development, providing psychological and counseling services of a remedial, preventive, and developmental nature through direct and indirect (consultation) contacts with students, faculty, and staff (both individually and in groups) within the Medical School. The Mental Health Clinician reports to the Counseling and Well-Being Program Manager/Lead Mental Health Clinician.
The duties and responsibilities for this position can be categorized into five main domains, applying specialized knowledge in cultural competencies and leadership development.
- Providing individual counseling services to students and trainees.
- Providing faculty and departmental consultations.
- Developing and facilitating group presentations & outreach programming.
- Completing special projects.
- Completing general administration tasks.

OGPS provides comprehensive support services to over 1,400 doctoral, master's, and post-baccalaureate students, as well as postdoctoral fellows and the more than 500 faculty members who train learners and trainees within the medical school.
