Peer Educators are student leaders who are trained to facilitate interactive and educational trainings and programs regarding gender, sexuality, and sexual violence prevention. The Peer Educator program has two tracks: 1.)Sexual Violence Prevention & Gender Equity 2.) Gender, Sexuality, & Sexual Health. This position is for student interested in pursing the Sexual Violence Prevention & Gender Equity track.
Peer Educators are involved in every step of brainstorming, developing, and facilitating programs, certificates, and other workshops for their peers and other campus community members. They provide valuable education to the campus community such as sexual violence prevention, healthy relationships, understanding sexuality, gender equity, sexual health, and other topics as needed.
Peer Educators will develop and cultivate valuable skills including public speaking and facilitation skills, teamwork, creativity, leadership, and critical thinking while also having the opportunity to build upon one's resume and network with other students with similar passions.
Most of the work conducted for this job during the Fall 2025/Winter 2026 semester will be on campus/in person with some online events.
