The School of Dentistry seeks a Research Administrator Intermediate/Senior to provide excellent service to our research faculty and technical staff. This position is part of the Grants and Contracts Shared Center (CGSC) team and reports to the CGSC Lead. The CGSC is located in the Office of Research and supports pre- and post-award research. Primary job tasks include:

• Monitoring grant expenditures and making financial recommendations to faculty/staff regarding research expenditures 
• Reviewing and reconciling monthly financial activity, resolving issues independently, and communicating areas of concern to the appropriate people. 
• Managing multiple research portfolios with independence and autonomy.
• Advising and assisting faculty, fellows, and students with internal and external grant submissions to a variety of federal, non-federal, and industry sponsors.

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 3 (Intermediate)/5 (Senior) years of progressive grant and contract experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Intermediate/advanced skills using Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, projects and priorities, including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Adept at working independently and collaboratively
• Excellent verbal and written skills are necessary for communicating intricate job-related processes to internal and external customers.

• Knowledge of university accounting principles and applications
• Demonstrated experience with university business tools such as Business Objects, MPathways, M- Reports, Concur, and procurement
• Certified Research Administrator (CRA) certification
• Experience preparing federal proposals, contracts, or foundation grants
• Experience with clinical trials and conducting feasibility analyses

This is a hybrid position with work completed onsite and remote.  Current practice is one day per week onsite and four days per week remote.

This position is located at the School of Dentistry at 1011 N University Ave.

• Salary range for Intermediate level: $61,000 - $70,000
• Salary range for Senior level: $72,000 - $82,000
