The Center for Health & Research Transformation (CHRT) inspires and enables evidence-informed policies and practices that improve the health of people and communities. CHRT's revenue comes from a combination of corporate sponsorships, grants and contracts. 

The RnE Program Manager will develop fundamental skills and gain practical experience in public health research and evaluation under the direct supervision of senior team members. This role focuses on supporting public health projects aimed at improving community health outcomes through systematic research and effective program evaluation.

Project Coordination:
Assist in coordinating research and evaluation activities, ensuring alignment with public health objectives.
Schedule and participate in team meetings.
Document meeting decisions and action items, following up to ensure completion.
 

Tracking and Reporting:
Help maintain schedules and tracking progress for research and evaluation projects.
Record project activities, update schedules, and prepare basic status reports.
Communicate progress and discrepancies to senior project managers for guidance.
 

Data Collection and Analysis:
Assist in gathering and analyzing public health data to support research and evaluation efforts.
Help identify basic problems and obstacles in data collection and analysis, contributing to simple solutions.
Provide preliminary insights to senior project managers for complex issues and facilitate informed decision-making.

Risk Management:
Escalate significant issues and risks to senior project managers.
Support the development of basic mitigation strategies.

Resource and Budget Management:
Track and record project expenses accurately and support financial reporting.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Support stakeholder engagement activities, ensuring clear and timely communication of research findings and evaluation outcomes.
Prepare meeting agendas, record minutes, and assist in scheduling stakeholder meetings.
Draft basic communication materials such as emails, memos, and reports for stakeholder updates. Collect and organize feedback from stakeholders for analysis.

Evaluation Framework Development:
Develop foundational knowledge of evaluation frameworks and methodologies.
Utilize basic understanding to contribute to the design and execution of evaluations.
Seek guidance from senior team members to deepen expertise and apply it effectively.

Learning and Development:
Actively learn principles of research methodology and public health evaluation practices.

• Masters degree in public health or related field (with health policy or public health related focus).
• 0-2 years of related experience, including a working knowledge of research/evaluation methods, statistics and key health policy issues. Expertise with behavioral health and/or substance use disorders a plus.
• Proficiency in working with analytical software (e.g., Excel, NVivo, SAS and/or SPSS).
• Experience preparing reports, charts, tables, and other visual aids.
• Demonstrated using qualitative methods such as key informant interviews and focus groups and analysis of qualitative data.
• Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently within defined guidelines.
• Willingness to work in a highly interactive and collegial group of program managers and analysts.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities and projects.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and develop creative solutions to overcome work-related challenges.
• Demonstrated passion for health equity, diversity, equity and inclusion strategies in professional and research environments.

• Demonstrated quantitative skills and knowledge of descriptive statistics, statistical tests and statistical inference. Ability to analyze and interpret a wide variety of data using descriptive and inferential statistical methods.

• Grant writing and seeking grant-funded opportunities is preferred.
• Experience with developing sampling designs, power analysis, questionnaire or interview guide development
