Job Summary

 

The Social Care in Chronic Disease Collaborative is looking for a Project Manager who can promote excellence across multiple research projects while maintaining the highest standards of organization and accountability. We are looking for who can navigate, identify challenges and solutions, and ensure all team members meet rigorous performance standards. Projects include pilots, qualitative and survey research projects, intervention studies, and large-scale evaluation projects focused on understanding and addressing chronic disease management, unmet social determinants of health, and financial burden with healthcare. The Project Manager will work within a collaborative team of 5 staff members and will maintain project timelines, ensuring, and serving as an important liaison across all organizational levels from research assistants to executive leadership at partner organizations. You will report to the Principle Investigator.
 

About Social Care in Chronic Disease Collaborative: Established in 2019, the Social Care in Chronic Disease Collaborative's mission is to advance the science on addressing social context in chronic disease management. The collaborative engages in interdisciplinary research and evaluation, working to translate research and innovations into clinical and public health practice and policy advancement.
 

About the Department: The position will be based in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Equity. Motivated by a shared passion for affecting lasting change, the faculty, students and staff of HBHE work in the pursuit of an equitable, healthy future for all. Turning theory and research into actionable practice, we develop interventions and innovations that promote health, prevent disease, and empower people to manage chronic illness and disabilities. Responsibilities*

 

Project Leadership & Accountability: Lead pilot projects with unwavering attention to timeline adherence, hold all team members to, and implement systematic approaches to ensure project milestones are met without exception
 

Strategic Operations Management: Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improved processes, before they become problems, and maintain comprehensive oversight of all project components
 

Multi-Level Stakeholder Management: collaborate across organizational hierarchies, from supervising students and staff to presenting to co-investigators and executive-level external partners
 

Data Management Oversight: Maintain rigorous oversight of data integrity and quality assurance processes across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to data management protocols throughout the full data lifecycle from collection to analysis
 

Regulatory & Administrative Excellence: Manage IRB applications, facilitate university contracts, and maintain documentation and compliance across all regulatory requirements
 

Study Development: Design study protocols, procedures, and data collection instruments that anticipate challenges and ensure smooth implementation
 

Required Qualifications*

 
  • Educational Foundation: Master's degree in Public Health or related field with 4-5 years of demonstrated research experience.
  • Project Management Excellence: Experience coordinating complex research studies with experience maintaining strict timelines and high-quality deliverables.
  • Research Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of quantitative research methods, data analysis, and the full research lifecycle from conception to publication.
  • Technical Competency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, can maintain complex spreadsheets), demonstrated efficiency skills using AI tools for workflow optimization, and familiarity with REDCap and Qualtrics for data collection and management.
  • Advanced Project Management: Formal project management experience with complex, multi-partner research projects.

40 hours per week, Monday- Friday
