Responsibilities*

 

Annual Giving  (50%) 

  • Provide high-level support in stewardship and recognition efforts for annual fund donors.
  • Prepare SL?s efforts related to University-wide ?Giving Blueday? to ensure robust participation and maximum revenue generation.

 

Stewardship  (40%)

  • Responsible for executing a comprehensive stewardship program that creatively and strategically engages prospects and donors, recognizes them for their contributions, and informs them about the use of their gifts to the University.
  • Oversee the gift acknowledgment process for all donors to SL, including at the annual giving level 
  • Manage weekly acknowledgment letters.
  • Write customized OVP letters, tribute gifts, and special circumstances.
  • Record all acknowledgment activities in DART.


Internal University Collaboration (10%)

  • Manage SL development communication, working in conjunction with staff at OVP-SL.
  • Serve as point of contact between SL development and University and Development Events team to coordinate stewardship events.
  • Attend Office of University Development meetings and training as appropriate to remain aware and knowledgeable of industry best practices related to annual giving and stewardship.

Required Qualifications*

 

  • High school diploma and prior experience working in an office environment.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, both written and oral, and a high level of sophistication and maturity in social and professional settings.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy; strong grammar skills; experience in business writing is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues in a team environment.
  • Discretion in interactions with donors and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Desired Qualifications*

 

  • Experience working or volunteering in a fundraising organization
  • Familiarity with University systems, policies and procedures.
