This a remote-first position that is eligible for remote and/or flexible work opportunities at the discretion of the hiring department. Located within the UMH Quality Department, Clinical Quality Reporting (CQR) houses data abstraction for a growing number of UMH projects including CMS/TJC core measures, BCBS Collaborative Quality Initiatives (CQIs), and select pediatric registries. The broad range of experience possessed by our staff, coupled with the positive experiences of our customers, continues to drive our expansion as new customers seek our services.
With minimal direction, the Clinical Information Analyst Senior functions as part of the Clinical Quality Reporting team (CQR) and is responsible for gathering clinical patient-level data to meet mandatory reporting requirements specific to assigned projects including, but not limited to, the following:
- The Joint Commission (TJC)
- Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), including:
- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) programs
- Physician Organization of Michigan Accountable Care Organization (POM ACO)
- Pediatric Acute Care Cardiology Collaborative (PAC3)
- Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Consortium Registry (PC4)
- Children's Hospitals Neonatal Consortium (CHNC)
- Vermont Oxford Network (VON)
- Other programs and/or registries as assigned.
This is a senior level position with possible intermediate level entry that reports to the Manager of CQR. The primary responsibilities of this position are to perform accurate and timely abstraction for their assigned area of responsibility, creating standard and ad hoc reports for stakeholders, medical, nursing, and quality leadership. The candidate collaborates directly with health system leaders, care providers, and members of multidisciplinary teams to improve the quality of patient care by providing clinical expertise and knowledge of clinical quality indicators, processes, and outcomes. This role also provides consultation services and provides recommendations for performance improvement and quality initiatives.
This role is part time (0.5FTE) working 20 hours per week.
