The University of Michigan Wolverine Pathways is a supplementary college preparatory program serving scholars in grades 7 through 12 who reside in Ypsilanti, Detroit, Southfield, and Grand Rapids. As a Program Coordinator, you will develop and administer programming and field events, and also design a system of incentives to build community among WP scholars, support their engagement with WP, and cultivate their sense of identity as Wolverine Pathways scholars. These coordinator responsibilities will complement your role as a Success Coach charged with supporting scholar connection, engagement, and flourishing on a more individualized basis. As a Success Coach, you will be a mentor and academic advisor, and an advocate focused on supporting the academic success, socio-emotional well-being, and high school and college readiness of secondary students enrolled in Wolverine Pathways. Your goal is to complement and extend the college preparatory support provided by a scholar's family and school, helping your scholar advisees maximize educational and extracurricular opportunities consistent with their interests and selective college admission. We are looking for candidates with experience engaging youth in interactive activities.
You will report directly to the Senior Program Manager, and this position is hybrid, requiring work on-site in Ann Arbor, Michigan. You will work on some Saturdays as the program schedule requires.
