From diagnosis and medical management of common cardiac disorders to groundbreaking therapies for complex congenital heart conditions, our team is committed to providing the most advanced evidence-based care for infants, children and adolescents with all forms of congenital and acquired heart disease, as well as for adults with congenital heart disease.
Our congenital heart program is one of the highest-volume programs in the nation with over 710 surgical cases, 15,874 clinic visits, 807 catheterizations, 248 electrophysiology cases, and 12+ heart transplants annually. The congenital catheterization laboratory offers congenital heart patients cutting-edge, minimally invasive care including the new Medtronic Harmony transcatheter pulmonary valve, hybrid procedures in collaboration with cardiac surgery, and participation in clinical trials such as the new ASD bioresorbable device trial (ASCENT). With over 50 pediatric cardiologists and one of the largest Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Programs, our dynamic team values collaboration and innovation across sub-specialties.
In addition to the on-site birthing hospital, we collaborate with the co-located U-M Health Frankel Cardiovascular Center's top-ranked adult cardiac program.
