The laboratory of Dr. Ben Dantzer in the Department of Psychology seeks to hire a full-time Research Technician Associate. The lab uses the methods of endocrinology, physiology, and behavior to examine how animals adapt to new environments. This position will play an integral role in the establishment and functioning of the lab by fulfilling research, management, and supervisory responsibilities.
This would be an excellent position for a recent graduate seeking to gain additional research experience prior to graduate school. Primary research duties include extraction of hormones from samples and running enzyme/radio-immunoassays to measure hormones, running statistical analyses on existing datasets using R software, and writing manuscripts. In addition, the candidate would gain valuable experience in lab management, research administration, and lab tech supervision.
