The Research Associate I will independently provide research, clerical, and general support for all aspects of new and ongoing research studies. In particular, the research technician will recruit and schedule research participants. This includes making phone calls to prospective participants, scheduling research visits, scheduling MRI and PET imaging appointments, and obtaining informed consent.
The Research Associate I will also complete various data entry tasks. This includes organization of the study data forms, quality control of the data, entering of the data into databases, inter-rater reliability, and dissemination of study information. The Research Technician will comply with all HIPAA and IRB regulations and will provide administrative assistance with regulatory management when needed. They will also assist with motor testing, neuropsychological testing, clinical testing, and collection and processing of biological specimens (e.g. blood, saliva). If required for research projects, visits to the homes of research participants may be necessary as well. Additional duties may include clerical activities, such as answering the laboratory's main phone, checking voicemail and e-mail, scanning source documents, and ordering research supplies.
