Strategic Program Development and Management 50%
Develop and manage MNI events and programs, in-person and virtual, that address MNI strategic priorities.
Develop content for Executive Director presentations, newsletters, web, or other communications outlets including for philanthropy.
Create tools to measure institute performance using quantitative metrics (e.g, grant proposals, paper submissions, publications, and research funding).
Develop key performance indicators for assessment of all existing and new programming and quantitatively and qualitatively analyze these data.
Participate and manage MNI strategic planning process. Staff and support MNI Advisory Boards and Committees, as needed.
Develop and Build Research Funding Programs 25%
Identify and communicate neuroscience grant opportunities to the MNI community. Coordinate the preparation and submission of interdisciplinary multi-PI research grants. Develop and manage a pilot grant program to support the formation and expansion of interdisciplinary research teams and grant submissions. Assess current faculty and make recommendations regarding new opportunities and synergies for collaboration and match to funding opportunities. Develop and maintain the MNI databases to include databases for grant opportunities and honorifics for faculty and trainees.
Faculty Recruitment and Membership 15%
Communicate with MNI faculty to identify gaps and opportunities for faculty recruitment and core equipment. Review, refine, and update existing MNI faculty processes and benefits of institute membership and align with overall institute goals.
Other administrative and programmatic responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director 10%
