Job Summary

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan is seeking a full-time clinical-track faculty member to work in Ambulatory Psychiatry and focus on the treatment of adult patients with substance use disorders, including those with co-occurring psychiatric disorders. Addiction Treatment Services provides ambulatory detoxification, buprenorphine maintenance, day intensive outpatient program, and a variety of targeted therapy groups such as for health professionals. The candidate will also share in teaching responsibilities of medical learners including medical students, house officers, and clinical fellows.

In addition to direct patient care and teaching, our faculty are encouraged to pursue academic interests, such as:

  • Participate in or lead research and quality improvement efforts.
  • Provide mentorship, didactic teaching, and engage in patient care activities with learners in related disciplines including social work, psychology, and pharmacy.
