Responsibilities*

 

Serve as the assistant to the french horn faculty; teach French Horn Freshman Seminar class (fall only); assist with the Horn Methods Class for Music Education students; organize teaching rotation schedule and other administrative duties, as needed; attend studio class and serve as a liaison between students and the horn faculty. 

Required Qualifications*

 

DMA degree in in french horn performance, or equivalent professional experience; commitment to nurturing a broad range of students of varied identities and experiences; experience in working with younger college students to help them acclimate to university studies; strong interpersonal skills and administrative experience.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
