45% Respond to adverse and near miss events as a member of the Safety Event Management Team. Review safety events for trends or system concerns and make recommendations that guide adverse event analysis and documentation for accreditation readiness and institutional improvement. Facilitate team review of adverse events to ensure accurate and thorough analyses that establish root causes/system issues and develops subsequent strong action plans to prevent recurrence of harm with a deference to design systems that proactively address harm. Consider institutional impact of system improvement strategies and communicate with clinical management and administration. Conduct educational training and coaching to medical, nursing and support staff on clinical safety and patient safety topics and lead/participate in patient safety efforts for the health system.
45% Coordinate the development, implementation and administration of programs, projects, and activities. Provide staff support to executive groups, including coordination of agenda and assistance in preparing and reviewing materials for discussion. Responsible for management, performance, and completion of moderate to complex projects. Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individuals responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project. Must be familiar with the project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.
