Move Coordination
LSA Moving and Support Services supports requests ranging from installing shelving to staff, faculty, and equipment relocations. The moving process requires careful planning and preparation of needs, timelines, and logistics for large and small moves. On average, our team annually supports over 100 requests for office rearrangements or small inter-office relocations, and as many as 20 larger departmental relocation moves.
Classroom and Events Support
LSA Movers support nearly 300 general-purpose LSA classrooms and event spaces. This primarily includes furniture resets and coordination of classroom maintenance needs, including but not limited to, classroom seating and blind repairs
Inventory Management and Property Disposition
LSA Facilities & Operations maintains several storage areas with furniture inventory available for reuse within LSA buildings. The LSA Moving and Support Services supervisor is the point of contact for inventory management decisions and direction. In partnership with our Facilities and Operations team, you will modernize and automate the current manual inventory process using AI-driven solutions. The ability to maintain an accurate, up-to-date inventory is critical for the success of this program. As assets reach the end of life within LSA, their disposal is coordinated through our LSA Moving and Support Services team.
Work Management System
LSA Moving and Support Services requests are managed through the TeamDynamix work management system. Your responsibility will include ensuring a customer-first response to all incoming requests, including scheduling, follow-up, and closure of requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Operational Efficiency/Sustainability
As access to new technology expands (such as leveraging AI tools), you will drive operational efficiency and sustainability by modernizing processes, reducing waste, and promoting environmentally responsible practices.
