Responsibilities*

 

Inpatient unit Administrative Assistant to perform routine administrative activities with limited authority to make commitments on behalf of unit. Prepares and submits biweekly and monthly payroll generated from One Staff data. Has payroll reviewed and signed by Clinical Nursing Director of unit, in time to meet payroll deadline. Reviews GPRs and seeks adjustments when necessary. Follows up with staff involved, collects productivity, payroll, and attendance data. Approves changes in staffing/scheduling of staff. Prepares and submits travel, hosting, tuition support requests. Completes projects and other duties as assigned by manager.

This is an on site  M-F day time position.

Required Qualifications*

 
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Four (4) years of experience
  • Proficiency in Excel and E-mail programs

Desired Qualifications*

 
  • Prefer an Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Computer skills with MS Access, Adobe Acrobat

Modes of Work

Background Screening

 

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act.  Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
