We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced team member to serve as a Harm Reduction Clinical Liaison on a new NIH-funded research project called Coalition for Harm Reduction and Prevention (CHRP). The Clinical Liaison will support the development of a hub and spoke program to help rural primary care and mental health clinics in Michigan implement a spectrum of addiction prevention to harm reduction services. The Clinical Liaison will then support the clinical trial testing this program by acting as liaison for rural clinics across the state of Michigan and providing elements of the program (e.g. prevention/harm reduction training, supporting learning collaborative discussions, providing tele-consultation) and completing and interpreting ongoing assessments to customize the program to clinic needs and track implementation. This work will occur both remotely with occasional in-person meetings with clinics throughout the State of Michigan.
The person in this position must have background in substance use and a passion for harm reduction approach to addiction. The person in this position will gain expertise in program implementation (with support from the research team) and will carry out program implementation processes in clinics with the goal to increase clinic knowledge and delivery of services.
