The Department of Environmental Health Sciences in the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan has a position opening for a Research Laboratory Specialist Associate. The Wang lab is seeking a full time Research Laboratory Specialist Associate to pursue research on neurotoxicity of environmental toxicants with an emphasis on learning and memory deficits, and neurodegenerative disease. The Wang lab investigates the neurotoxicity and potential mechanisms of environmental toxicants, such as Cadmium, Lead, and air pollution. The position will obtain and maintain mouse lines for experiments, cell culturing, provide maintenance of equipment and supplies necessary to carry out experiments, conduct some molecular and cellular experiments in the wet lab and data analysis. This is a one-year term appointment, expected to continue based on funding availability.
