What You'll Do

 

As the Admissions Coordinator, you will be a member of the Full-Time MBA Admissions team. You will support activities related to the recruitment, evaluation, and selection processes for MBA applicants. Responsibilities include assisting with virtual and in-person events, guiding applicants through the admissions process, assisting with application reviews, providing administrative support, and representing the school at recruitment events while ensuring a positive applicant experience. You will report directly to the Senior Associate Director. This position is included in the bargaining unit represented by the University Staff United (USU), which represents bargaining unit members in all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.

Responsibilities*

 

Admissions Recruitment and Outreach (15%): 

  • Represent the school at recruitment events such as MBA fairs, self-hosted tours, and virtual or in-person information sessions. 
  • Manage the FTMBA general inquiries inbox, providing information about admissions requirements, financial aid, scholarships, and the application process to prospective students. 
  • Help with admitted student yield efforts, specifically matching alumni with admitted students to enhance personal touchpoints. 

Admissions Events (40%):

  • Assist FTMBA Admissions team with administrative and logistical needs related to on-campus events. Responsibilities may include: 
    • Upload event information to the website and managing registration 
    • Manage room reservations and troubleshoot room-related issues with Ross Operations team 
    • Submit and manage catering orders and associated expense reports 
    • Order and prepare event materials, such as printed handouts, swag ahead of time 
    • Provide on-site support during events 
    • Distribute and consolidate post-event survey information 
  • Coordinate logistics for virtual events. Responsibilities may include: 
    • Upload events to the website and assisting with registration 
    • Attend the event to assist with troubleshooting or logistical coordination 
  • Conduct post-event follow-up, including thank-you emails and survey distribution. 

Admissions Evaluation and Processing (15%): 

  • Provide support with the initial screening and review of Full-Time MBA applications. 
  • Verify applicant materials for accuracy and completeness, addressing discrepancies and missing documentation. 
  • May participate in selection committee meetings to discuss applicant qualifications, share evaluations, and support final admissions decisions. 
  • Uphold FERPA guidelines by university policies, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. 

General Administration (30%): 

  • Upload registration lists to Salesforce, ensuring completeness and accuracy of information. 
  • Oversee the swag inventory process. This includes placing orders, managing inventory levels, and shipping swag. 
  • Support the admissions team and ensure a seamless admissions experience. 
  • Help with special projects, data reporting, and other administrative tasks. 
     

Required Qualifications*

 
  • Bachelor's Degree and 1+ years of related administrative or customer service experience. 
  • Experience writing communications (i.e. emails, meeting agendas and notes, summary documents) that are used with multiple audiences 
  • Previous experience with Google Docs, sheets and slides, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint plus other database, email, and calendar-keeping software and technologies is required. 
  • Troubleshoot technology issues and learn new applications independently.

Additional Information

 

Salary Information: 
The posting range for this position is $45,100-$53,000. This posting range reflects multiple factors involved in determining compensation, such as skills, experience, training, certifications, and other organizational needs. At Ross, it is not common for new hires to be offered a salary at the upper end of the range. Compensation decisions are based on the details of each situation.
