Michigan Medicine Ambulatory Care Services is seeking a talented Project Manager who wants to join our growing organization and team. Under general direction from Department Leadership, the Project Manager will provide project management and leadership to support strategic initiatives across Michigan Medicine's Ambulatory Care Units.

This role requires the individual to lead project management activities and serve as a subject matter resource in areas of patient access and the related data and metrics. Duties will include managing access related project deliverables that require collaboration across internal and external stakeholder groups. The individual will coordinate project analysis, documentation, and logistics using industry standards, policies/procedures, plans/specifications, and quality/safety requirements to help drive decision-making.

The ideal candidate would have project management, data analytics, healthcare operations, and/or similar background.

• Responsible for applying knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to meet project requirements: scope, budget, quality, time, communications, change management, risk management, and stakeholder management. 
• Serve as the point of contact for access related requests; responsible for assisting the ACS Access team with managing multiple data requests including the tracking completion of multiple concurrent access projects.

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field (e.g. Administration, Business, Engineering, and/or Health Sciences) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding and/or experience working with patient access data, metrics and drivers
• Knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of project management, techniques, and tools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead all project management processes from project planning to closeout.
• Ability to analyze, compare, and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, free of immediate directions, within the scope of their responsibility.
• Highly analytical and has the ability to translate and communicate analysis into actionable information for problem-solving and decision-making at all levels within organization.

Project Senior Manager Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of healthcare project, clinical, facilities, and/or operations management experience.

Project Intermediate Manager Required Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of healthcare project, clinical, facilities, and/or operations management experience.

• Master degree in a healthcare related field (e.g. Administration, Business, Engineering, and/or Health Sciences).
• Broad understanding of healthcare trends (e.g. environment, market, payer, provider, regulatory).
• Experience with Tableau as a heavy user and/or report developer
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Lean or Six Sigma training/certification and experience with applying lean concepts in planning and operations analysis.
