Faculty Director of Arts Learning
The University of Michigan Arts Initiative seeks a Faculty Director of Arts Learning to support access to arts learning for all U-M students across the University of Michigan ecosystem. This is a 25% administrative position open to a current, tenured faculty member. Building on the University's core commitment to the arts in its Vision 2034 strategic plan, the Faculty Director of Arts Learning will report to the Arts Initiative's own Executive Director and collaborate on strategy to increase access to and raise awareness of arts learning opportunities for all U-M students. The director will work in partnership with faculty and leadership across U-M's schools and colleges to generate and implement ideas. The director will support the efforts of campus arts units (especially LSA, SMTD, Stamps, and Taubman, as well as UMMA and UMS) and will coordinate with other campus units, including but not limited to Engineering, Business, Medicine, science programs, etc. This position complements and coordinates with the Arts Initiative's Director for Student Engagement, a staff member who fosters co-curricular student arts activity.
