A research technician is wanted for a project in a basic science laboratory specializing in research in immunodermatology. The position will entail laboratory bench work to study basic molecular and cellular biology.

Perform routine molecular and cellular biology experimental procedures under the supervision of higher level research staff. These experimental procedures include but are not limited to processing of human skin samples for single-cell RNA-sequencing, isolation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells from whole human blood, cryosectioning, DNA/RNA/protein extraction, microscopy, cell culture, and any other experimental protocols needed to move the project forward. Support meticulous organization of patient samples. Maintain thorough experimental records and protocols. Perform simple data analysis. 

Must be able/willing to work at 2 sites depending on where the work is needed.  Responsible for shipment, receipt and tracking of study samples.

• Associate's degree from an accredited university, or equivalent experience in science-related field. 
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a team environment are essential.

• Bachelor's degree. 
• Experience with molecular biology techniques including human cells and tissue processing, tissue sectioning, DNA/RNA isolation, microscopy. 
• 1 year experience with science-related projects preferred.
