The successful candidate will lead the Ophthalmology program for 21 resident trainees, overseeing its direction and operations. The Program Director will manage all aspects of the program, including administration, teaching, scholarly activities, resident recruitment and selection, and the evaluation and promotion of residents. The role also involves guiding residents in their education within the context of patient care. As a key role model, the Program Director will exemplify professionalism, clinical excellence, and a strong commitment to resident education. The program will be aligned with the needs of the community and the missions of Michigan Medicine.
