Founded in 2005, The Michigan Data Collaborative (MDC) is a data collection, enrichment and delivery organization created to provide a neutral and secure location for large, longitudinal population healthcare data to be aggregated, analyzed, and reported for the purposes of supporting statewide care transformation efforts and health services quality improvement.
MDC is seeking an Information Technology Project Senior Manager to provide project management for team-wide initiatives. The goal is to execute and complete projects on time, within budget, and with the elevated level of quality our customers expect from MDC. Additional goals include assisting in managing MDC commitments, priorities, and our enterprise portfolio. Key stakeholders and customers of this work include the Collaborative Quality Initiative (CQI) leadership members and external physician organizations (POs).
The successful candidate will provide project management and leadership for MDC projects. The Information Technology Project Senior Manager will be responsible for the management, performance, and completion of assigned projects, which may be large, complex, and diverse and engage multiple MDC teams as well as utilize Michigan Medicine technical services. This includes working with MDC leadership to manage prioritization, commitments, communications, and issue resolution. The Information Technology Project Senior Manager will perform all phases of project management from initiation, design, development, implementation, and transition to operations and closeout. This role will develop detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports, as well as conduct project meetings and perform project tracking and analysis.
The Information Technology Project Senior Manager will prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence for management review. This role will assist with MDC portfolio management including staffing plans and resource estimates to use for MDC-wide prioritization and commitments.
This role will assist and advise the MDC Manager, Project Management & Client Services in the development and execution of the MDC Project Management methodology. This may include, but not be limited to, activities such as process documentation, development of templates, implementation of project management tools and techniques, and training MDC staff. This role will also provide team-level project management reports and relevant metrics and perform duties designed to maximize the output of business deliverables.
Supervision Received:
This position will report to the Manager, Project Management & Client Services in the Michigan Data Collaborative as part of the Enterprise Data and Information Services (EDIS) Division of Health Information Technology & Services (HITS).
