The University of Michigan Library in Ann Arbor is one of the world's largest academic research libraries and serves a vibrant university community that is home to 19 schools and colleges, 100 top ten graduate programs, and annual research expenditures exceeding $1.5 billion a year. The Physical Collections and Access team provides access to the library's physical collections. We make sure the library's book stacks remain accessible and usable for library visitors by overseeing how and where we shelve physical items, ensuring online records are accurate, and coordinating item requests.
As an Information Resources Assistant, you will support the processing and stacks maintenance of the Hatcher Graduate collection with a focus on the Asia Library collection. Your primary duties will focus on projects related to the physical collections and their associated online records in the integrated library system (Alma). You will report to the Physical Collections and Access Supervisor for the Hatcher Graduate Library.
Because we are committed to diversity, we aspire to develop the individual and collective skills to recognize, celebrate, and deploy difference as a path to engagement, innovation, and the generation of new ideas and knowledge.
