Job Summary

 

The Undergraduate Program Assistant serves in support of the Undergraduate Program and is the primary coordinator for student recruitment, introductory course coordination and event management. 


Remote/Flexible Work: Flexible/ Hybrid schedule possible after an initial onboarding period according to LSA Flexible Work Policy. Additional flexibility during breaks and spring/summer terms is possible.

Responsibilities*

 

Undergraduate Recruitment Coordination:

  • Manage the D-RISE program (summer HS student research fellowship)
  • Manage outreach and recruitment programs for Chemistry Undergraduate Program, including attending campus events and devising new outreach strategies
     

Undergraduate Program Support:

  • Chem Majors Engagement Series (enrichment and community building programming)
  • Event planning for commencement and undergraduate awards ceremonies
  • Coordinate weekly student newsletter.  
  • Monitor and triage undergraduate email inquiries. 
  • Manage Transfer Credit process
     

Introductory Course Coordination:

  • Exam and accommodation coordination for large introductory courses

Required Qualifications*

 
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 2 to 4 years of administrative experience
  • Attention to detail and superior organizational skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a wide range of people 
  • Key attributes that will define success in this role include, self-initiative, confidentiality, sound judgment, ability to work in a fast-paced office environment 

Modes of Work

Additional Information

 

The salary range for this position is $39,300 to $49,100, please note a higher salary may be offered based on equity and the selected candidate's experience.
