Community Liaison and Engagement
40% Duties include providing education and information about the project and about supporting 2SLGBTQ people, and connecting the program to cultural/spiritual values, giving presentations to community partners, hosting feeds and community events, recruitment and enrollment in research studies, and providing recommendations to the research and program teams.
Program Facilitation
40% Duties include facilitating the programming to 2SLGBTQ+ youth and/or their caregivers. Collecting and analyzing feedback from participants and providing input on program adaptation and refinement.
Child Care
20% Duties may include providing childcare on an as needed basis to children (ages 10 and under) who are not participating in the program. Childcare will be provided in the same facility where the program will be occurring (i.e., caregivers will be on site). Classes will occur during time convenient for families (weekends and evenings), so it is essential that the person in this position have regular availability during this time.
Job Requirements:
- Must have previous experience working with ( and/or lived experience) with the 2SLGBTQ+ community and tribal communities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and public speaking abilities, and the ability to teach skills to others.
- Commitment to increasing support for 2SLGBTQ+ Native American youth in tribal communities.
