The Human Performance & Sport Science Center (HPSSC) serves the University of Michigan through the promotion and amplification of sport science research and education to generate new knowledge to inform human health and performance. We are looking for someone with sport science experience who is motivated to educate the next generation of sport scientists. You will join our team and promote an inaugural collaborative initiative within the University of Michigan Athletics Department to support a new, student-facing experiential learning programming that integrates sport and performance education, research, and applied activities within the Athletics Department.
The Athlete Innovation Program Coordinator will be responsible for oversight of student engagement, delivery of educational material surrounding student technology and assessment roles, and oversight of on-site performance assessments of U-M student athletes in a newly developed HPSSC Athlete Innovation Lab (HAIL).
Additionally, this role will be responsible for integrating ongoing student collaborations with U-M Athletics (e.g. School of Information Data Analytics programs) with the newly created Athlete Innovation Initiative, an experiential learning program. This newly created position will report to a HPSSC Co-Director, with collaborative guidance and oversight from the HPSSC Program Officer and Athletic Department leadership.
The Athlete Innovation Program Coordinator role is full-time and onsite at the Ann Arbor, MI Campus.
