Decision Making Process

Our ability to hire Lecturers depends on substantial year-to-year and term-by-term fluctuations in enrollments and curricular needs and on our funding commitments to GSIs.

Selection Process

The number, nature, and configuration of appointments are governed by such factors as the University budget, enrollments, specific course needs, and commitments to GSIs. Selection criteria include teaching qualifications, teaching experience, and evidence of excellence in teaching. The specifics of individual assignments will be based on our current needs and the teaching record of successful candidates.
