The University of Michigan-Dearborn seeks a creative, innovative, and thoughtful person to join its Equity, Civil Rights and Title IX Office (ECRT). The ECRT Training Specialist works closely with and reports directly to the Director of ECRT and Title IX Coordinator as the ECRT works toward the University's commitment to address discrimination and harassment, including sexual and gender-based misconduct.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and abilities:
- Organized, efficient, has the ability to work with data
- Ability to develop sexual assault prevention training and present in person to incoming students
- Ability to develop and present civil rights anti- discrimination and harassment prevention training
- Ability to present to students and employees in person and on line
- Knowledge of sexual and gender-based misconduct prevention principles
- Ability to design and edit our Drupal website
- Ability to create visually appealing slide presentations using canva or other graphic design software
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to be empathetic and caring as sensitive topics are addressed.
