Job Summary

 

We are looking for therapists interested in a variety of complex patient populations. The position will rotate to a wide variety of patient populations within Adult Acute Care including orthopedic surgery, general surgery, trauma burn, general medicine, neurology and pulmonary. This position is on the adult Medical Surgical Acute Care Team. In this position you would evaluate and treat patients with diseases, injuries, disorders and disabilities, to relieve pain, develop or restore function and enhance maximum performance.

Required Qualifications*

 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or basic MS or DPT degree
  • Satisfactory completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Program and Clinical Internship
  • Demonstrated proficiency in patient treatment.
  • Possession of a current state License to practice therapy in Michigan. New Grads welcome to apply.
  • Experience in an acute care setting at an academic medical center or large tertiary hospital.  
  • New graduates with strong clinical rotations will be considered. 

Work Schedule

 

Schedule to be determined but will include one weekend day as part of the regular schedule, plus occasional holidays.

Underfill Statement

 

This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.  Physical Therapy graduates waiting for Michigan Licensure or therapists licensed in other states that are waiting for Michigan licensure to be approved would qualify as an underfill position.
