The person in this position will clean and cook at assigned Interpersonal Violence Research Lab (IVRL) facilities located in or near Pine Ridge, SD, and in Rapid City, SD, as well as at community events and venues at schools and community centers on the Pine Ridge Reservation and in Rapid City. This position is on an as-needed basis. It is usually around 10 hours a week every week but is based on the number of meetings and events scheduled each week or month. Cooking and cleaning before advisory board meetings, special events, and community feeds at alternative locations across the reservation, or when special visitors arrive is a priority for people filling this role. Occasional weekends and evenings are required, but a minimum of 3 days advance notice will be given when work will occur outside of Monday through Friday, 8-5 business hours. General cleaning including sweeping, mopping, dusting, washing bedding, cleaning bathrooms, making beds, and vacuuming, are just some, but not all of the duties you will be asked to do with this position. Cooking and shopping could also be included with this position, as well as collaboration and frequent communication with other cook cleaners and IVRL staff as needed. Weekly activity sheets are expected to be submitted as well as weekly time reports submitted on an electronic timesheet system called Firefly.
