Job Summary

 

The University of Michigan Section of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is seeking a talented clinical psychologist for a full-time clinical track faculty position. The faculty member will participate in the clinical, administrative, and teaching aspects of the Child Psychiatry Program with specific focus on psychotherapy for children and families. The applicant will be an active participant in our child psychiatry ambulatory specialty clinics and services. In addition, this faculty member will be involved with multidisciplinary training of health professionals. 

The candidate will join a vibrant group of faculty, partnering with a leadership team that values clinical and educational excellence and innovation. This position will report through the Associate Medical Director in the Child Psychiatry Program and work closely with faculty and staff across the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Program. Additionally, they will provide teaching to interdisciplinary trainees at the University of Michigan. Required Qualifications*

 
  • PhD/Psy.D in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an from an APA- or CPA accredited clinical psychology program with an APA- or CPA-accredited internship. 
  • Completion of a postdoctoral fellowship in Psychology 
  • Candidates must be currently licensed and/or eligible for a Michigan full license to practice clinical psychology. 
  • Board certified or eligible for certification in Clinical Psychology.

Modes of Work

Background Screening

 

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third-party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.

In addition to the screenings indicated above under Michigan law, a criminal history check including fingerprinting is required as a condition of transfer or employment for this position.
