What You'll Do

 

Reporting to a Senior Project Manager, you will:

  • Evaluate project feasibility by leading cost, scheduling, and general feasibility studies.
  • Oversee the work of skilled trades employees. Lead and schedule the work of skilled trades employees for multiple projects.
  • Promote and reinforce safety on you projects, including staff compliance with  personal protective equipment.
  • Procure material, supplies and tools, and ensure delivery to multiple projects.
  • Attend meetings with customers to help develop work scope for multiple projects, and to report on progress of projects.
  • Direct project budget analysis, scheduling, and feasibility studies.
  • Prepare estimates for labor and material needed for scope of work on multiple projects.
  • Perform project hazard assessments and regular site safety inspections.

Required Qualifications*

 
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture
  • Five years of experience in construction and the ability to oversee skilled trades employees
  • Ability in maintaining organized records, maintaining complex spreadsheets, and composing reports.
  • Knowledge of CMMS software, financial accounting software, Microsoft Office products (or equivalent), Google products, Smart Phone technology, tablet technology, and computers.
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents pertaining to architectural and engineering scope.
  • Experience in managing laboratory construction.
  • Experience in estimating.
  • Ability to identify and solve issues before they become problems - proactive problem solving.
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set.
