Responsibilities*

 

Install, repair and maintain electronic equipment and instruments, such as pocket pagers, mobil radios, public address systems, heart/patient monitors, blood transducers, defibrillators, infant warmers, electrocardiograph and electoencephalograph units. Inspect, test and analyze malfunctions of electrical and industrial or medical electronic equipment, using ammeter, voltmeter, ohmmeter, oscilloscope, schematics and visual inspection. Install and/or modify standard electrical and electronic circuitry for new or changed applications of electrical and electronic equipment, instruments or systems. Advise faculty and staff on the proper use and care of electrical, biomedical and industrial electronic equipment and instruments and resolve problems resulting from improper set up and use. Diagnose malfunctions and repair printed circuits by soldering breaks in the printed circuit, replacing resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, diodes, transistors and other component parts. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, circuit and schematic diagrams and job specifications. Prepare records and service reports of materials and time expended.

Required Qualifications*

 
  • Graduation from high school and specialized training in industrial electronic and electrical work is necessary.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and schematic diagrams is necessary. 
  • Considerable knowledge of the tools, equipment, methods and materials involved in industrial electronic and electrical work is necessary. 
  • Some experience in the maintenance and repair of specialized medical electronic and electromechanical equipment may be necessary. 
  • Reasonable knowledge of the maintenance requirements of electrical and electronic equipment, fixtures and devices is necessary. 
  • Reasonable experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of industrial electronic and electrical equipment and devices is necessary. 
  • Licensure by the Federal Communications Commission may be required.

Desired Qualifications*

 
  • Experience in troubleshooting, and diagnosing all electrified door hardware, including mag locks, electric mortis, and the such.
  • AAADM Certification 
  • General knowledge of security hardware and function
  • Hospital environment experience

Work Schedule

 

* Sunday - Wednesday 22:00 - 08:00

Please note:  This position may need to work on-call and overtime to respond to afterhours emergencies.
