The Department of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan invites applications for full-time tenure-track or tenured faculty positions at all ranks. As the oldest Aerospace Engineering department in the United States, we are celebrating our 110th this year. This is a broad search. As part of it, we are especially interested in candidates with expertise related to computational mechanics, structural dynamics, multiphysics modeling and simulation, and multifunctional structures related to flight vehicles in air and space, preferably in connection with one of the research areas identified in our strategic thrusts (Sustainable Aviation, Commercial Space, Advanced Air Mobility, Digital Engineering, and Resilient Autonomy).
