The SoRelle Collaborative EBV (scEBV) Lab in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Michigan Medical School is actively seeking postdoctoral scholars to work on single-cell and spatial -omics projects investigating Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. The projects include: 1) dissecting host-virus interactions that epigenetically regulate cellular function and fate; 2) understanding the pathogenic roles of partial versus complete lytic reactivation; and 3) developing spatially-resolved genome-wide insights from EBV-infected tissues including virus-associated cancers. Benefits for Postdoctoral Research Fellows

Candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D., or equivalent degree. We are looking for highly motivated team players with a background in microbiology, immunology, cell biology, or a related field, who are interested in studying host-pathogen interactions and/or viral oncology. Prior experience in virology is not necessary, but previous experience with molecular biology, biochemistry, and/or computational biology is preferred. Experience with single-cell sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, and/or advanced fluorescence microscopy is highly desired.
