Responsibilities
Provide culturally sensitive, age-specific team-based care model in delivering nursing care for the Solid Tumor Oncology patient population within the Blue Team disease groups.
Accurate and efficient documentation of nursing care.
Knowledge and appropriate use of internal and external resources.
This RN position works as a member of a collaborative, multidisciplinary oncology team in a busy clinic setting.
Assists with diagnostic/therapeutic procedures as necessary.
Provides patient care needs to include, but not limited to, triage/assessment of high acuity patients, chemotherapy/immunotherapy education, procedural education, medication administration and management, responding to clinic emergencies, port maintenance, collaboration with multiple disciplines / infusion / scheduling / lab management.

Demonstrated knowledge and skills providing patient and family education and reinforcement related to oncologic conditions including, but not limited to, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, oral therapy, infusion, etc.
Proficiency with typing and electronic health record documentation.
Ability to manage complex clinical issues utilizing assessment skills, protocols, and evidence-based interventions.
Willingness to adapt to different populations within the team as patient demands require. Orientation and training would be provided for new subspecialties.
