The Research Assistant will support a two-year research project examining how environmental exposures, infrastructure disruptions, and social stressors affect the mental health and well-being of parents, caregivers, children, and families in Puerto Rico. The Research Assistant will work closely with the Principal Investigator to contribute to multiple phases of the research process, including participant recruitment and coordination, qualitative data collection and management, interview transcription, qualitative coding and analysis, literature review, and preparation of research and dissemination materials. The position will provide opportunities to gain experience with qualitative and mixed-methods research and to contribute to manuscripts, conference presentations, and community-facing products. Since most of the research involves participants and organizations in Puerto Rico, professional proficiency in Spanish is required. This position is for 5-10 hours per week.
