A Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available in the McLaughlin lab at the University of Michigan in the Department of Cell & Developmental Biology (CDB). We use a combination of multi-omics (single-cell transcriptomics and proteomics), cell biology, and genetics in the Drosophila melanogaster (fruit fly) to investigate how neural circuits are built, refined, and maintained.
Our group values community, scientific rigor, and intellectual growth. We are seeking a postdoctoral research fellow to independently design and execute experiments, generate and analyze data related to the lab?s ongoing research projects, and bring new perspectives and expertise to the lab. We expect the postdoctoral fellow to be organized, collaborative, and provide mentorship and guidance to members of the group. Working under the guidance of Dr. Colleen McLaughlin (Principal Investigator), the fellow will also have opportunities to develop independent research directions, present at conferences, prepare work for publication, and apply to fellowships in support of their long-term career goals.
