Responsibilities*

 

We seek a research assistant to carry out recruitment and informed consent activities for the My Health My Choice trial, which involves 18 clinical sites across the United States and is led by Dr. Wu in the Department of Family Medicine. This RA will work with the study team to recruit potential participants by electronic health portal, phone text messaging, emails, or phone calls. Other RA responsibilities include conducting informed consent in a respectful manner and in compliance with our study protocol, UM, and NIH policies; entering and tracking recruitment and informed consent activities in REDCap; and attending weekly team meetings. This position will be an hourly position, part-time, from now until the end of the grant period (September 30, 2028). This job is a remote position. 

Required Qualifications*

 
  • One (1) to two (2) years relevant work experience in human subject research
  • Up to date completion of human subjects training course (eg PEERS, CITI)

  • Proven communication skills, including respectful, non-judgmental, and non-coercive approach to informed consent 
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
